The Wave ( it comes as a Starter Kit ) is a hand-held vibrating cleanser and comes with two trail packs of pre-soaped pads and the necessary AA battery.
The size of the Wave is perfect. It fits easily and comfortably in your hand and is about 3 inches in size ( approximately the size of your palm ). Small, half-dollar sized, pre-soaped pads are placed on the head of the Wave - and this is wonderful, mild Neutrogena soap. You activate the soap by running the Wave under some water. You then turn on the Wave with a push button and that's it. You're all set to use the Wave - moving it over your face. When you're done - you pull off the pad, and throw it away. Simple.
The soap pads are very easy to use. You just place them on the head of the Wave. The head is designed to "grab" the pads. There is no pushing, no connecting, no messing with anything - just put them there.
My favorite thing about the Wave though, is that it can be used at the sink or in the shower. Yes, in the shower! You don't have to make an extra stop at the sink to wash your face before jumping into the shower. Yipee!
The vibration of the Wave is just perfect, gentle - it is NOT abrasive and it does not move in circles or brush against your face. You don't end up with patchy red areas!
The soap on the pads is mild and soft and leaves your face feeling wonderful. Neutrogena is famous for it's soap, and using it once, you know why.
Because both the vibration and soap is mild - you can safely use the Wave every day, anytime you wash your face. You don't have to be concerned with using it too often or it being too rough on you. I use it daily without any issues at all.
Travelers : This item is small and you can easily put it in your make-up case or travel-pack.
I got the pink colored Wave, though I have seen green and blue colors available.
My only issue with the whole package is that the pre-soaped pads do not come in a re-sealable pouch.
All and all, though - This items is great and I highly recommend it.
This item includes : Wave Cleanser device, 14 pre-soaped pads and a AA battery.
Refill pads, in sets of 30, are required after you use the initially supplied 14.

(More customer reviews)I started using this a month ago in conjunction with Derma e's problem skin moisturizer and spot treatment. I have mild to moderate adult acne and I tried most everything I could get my hands on. I was using a benzoyl peroxide treatment prior to derma-e but was unhappy with the results. I just felt dryer and as if I were wrinkling prematurely. The benzoyl peroxide did nothing to help the problem- just dry it out. I've come to terms with my skin. I don't expect a miracle, that perfect flawless skin, anymore. I am, however, really happy with the results of this cleanser. I just started noticing results one month into the regiment. My skin hasn't broken out since I started using it. I still have redness and scars but they're also improving. I noticed this mainly because I had to use less concealer! The texture of my skin is definitely better. It's not an overnight change and it's not a miraculously flawless skin guarantee; but, my skin hasn't been this happy in as long as I can remember. I don't use this to remove makeup and I don't expect it to have the power to remove it. I also hated the smell at the start but have grown used to it. I would recommend this to anyone who has mild to moderate acne. I was starting to get horrible cystic pimples and needed something new. Luckily, this is just what I needed.

(More customer reviews)This product is very convenient. I don't know about you, but I sometimes have to force myself to wash my face, especially at night. At times it seems like too much of a process! With this product, there is virtually no prep involved besides grabbing the tub and wetting your face (even less if you wash your face in the shower). For being a non-soap product, the pads foam up very nicely (you may not even need to use water although it's probably better to dilute the solution a little). I use the smooth side first to remove my makeup and clean my face and then flip the pad over and use the textured side to exfoliate. This is my favorite side! I believe exfoliating is so important! It does a great job. You can tell this product is deep cleaning because your face tingles - not an uncomfortable tingle though (not for me anyway). After I'm done, I rinse my face with luke-warm water and pat my skin dry. My skin feels so clean. I follow cleansing with using witch hazel as a toner and extra virgin coconut oil as a moisturizer.
In the past few weeks that I've been using the pads (once in the morning and once at night), my face feels softer and my skin is definitely brighter and more radiant. Just like it says - imagine that! I have added this product to my daily routine.
My skin is fairly sensitive and I was nervous about changing over to a new product without a transition. I read some reviews where people experienced an allergic type reaction. I did not experience this at all. It's possible they were allergic to one of the ingredients, or they scrubbed too hard, or they didn't rinse the cleanser off completely.
Another thing I really like about this set up is although it's more expensive than buying a container of liquid cleanser, there's really no guessing involved. When using the liquid cleansers, I sometimes use too much (which ends up being wasted by going down the drain) or not enough (which is a pain to have to get more while your face is soaped up). It should be noted, this product won the Allure's Editor's Choice Award!

*If you find the pads are too big, cut them in half and double your product!
*GREEN IDEA - instead of recycling the tub, keep it, wash it out, and use it to keep your small cosmetics (cotton balls, Q-Tips, eye shadows, etc.)

Each refill box includes a new velcro plastic attachment for the eraser. It's very easy to pop off the old attachment and pop on the new one - mr. 13 year old son replaced it with no problems or instructions.
These pads are straightforward, light foaming, gentle cleaning. The active ingredient is salycilic acid, a good treatment for acne. There is a soap in the ingredient line, nothing much different from the ingredients in shampoo and bar soap. This is gentle enough to use every day.
There is another pad that works very well in combination with these, a light exfoliating product. Maybe rotate these pads in twice or three times per week. Neutrogena Wave Deep Clean Gentle Foaming Exfoliating Pads , 30-Count Boxes (Pack of 3)
This system has gotten my 13 year old son to wash his face almost every night. He likes the device and the vibration. It has helped control adolescent acne. You mileage may vary.

It does not foam, and you have to massage your face for the full 30 seconds (as recommended on the package) to get a good cleaning before removing w/ a wet cloth. My skin is dry and sometimes flaky, yet breaks out easily and had gone into freak-out mode after trying some other cleansers. The Aveeno Ultra-Calming Moisturizing Cream Cleanser cleared up that problem.
My 13 yo daughter likes it too. She has dry skin, but gets clogged pores that look like little white dots and using this helped her issue as well.

(More customer reviews)Seeing as how amazon doesn't yet have a separate listing for the new SENSITIVE SKIN version of this cleanser, I'm posting it here. Though I think this product line is marketed more towards teens, this cleanser is excellent, superb, fantastic for my combination, adult-acne-prone skin! Doesn't dry out my face or make it too oily by day's end. So gentle it won't strip off make-up; to remove makeup, first smear a layer of this cleanser over dry, made-up face & wipe off with tissue. Then wash normally with more cleanser. Salicylic acid in cleansers is not very effective against acne, since it has to remain on skin for long periods to work. I leave this on in the shower for several minutes before rinsing, but for bad acne, you may need to use this plus a medicated leave-on product like Nature's Cure Body Spray (yes, I use that on my face and never had problems -- but close eyes & hold breath before spraying!) May need to follow this with moisturizer, though I don't. It's also good to use a sunscreen product for sensitive skin in the daytime - I like Neutrogena's sensitive skin sunblock. I love this product, try it...it may be the EUREKA! cleanser you've been searching for.

Both Salislyic acid and Benzonperoxide are extremely irritating to my skin. Since I have started using this product my oily production has become normal and my break out hot spots have cleared up. These pore strips are really great, they don't remove everything by using it once but after using these strips 5 times in three weeks my nose is almost free from blackheads.
I have tried pore strips from other companies with bad results but in my search all over the internet I found these to be the best of all. To have the best results the pore strip shall be applied just after walking out of a hot shower on the wet skin.
