The Wave ( it comes as a Starter Kit ) is a hand-held vibrating cleanser and comes with two trail packs of pre-soaped pads and the necessary AA battery.
The size of the Wave is perfect. It fits easily and comfortably in your hand and is about 3 inches in size ( approximately the size of your palm ). Small, half-dollar sized, pre-soaped pads are placed on the head of the Wave - and this is wonderful, mild Neutrogena soap. You activate the soap by running the Wave under some water. You then turn on the Wave with a push button and that's it. You're all set to use the Wave - moving it over your face. When you're done - you pull off the pad, and throw it away. Simple.
The soap pads are very easy to use. You just place them on the head of the Wave. The head is designed to "grab" the pads. There is no pushing, no connecting, no messing with anything - just put them there.
My favorite thing about the Wave though, is that it can be used at the sink or in the shower. Yes, in the shower! You don't have to make an extra stop at the sink to wash your face before jumping into the shower. Yipee!
The vibration of the Wave is just perfect, gentle - it is NOT abrasive and it does not move in circles or brush against your face. You don't end up with patchy red areas!
The soap on the pads is mild and soft and leaves your face feeling wonderful. Neutrogena is famous for it's soap, and using it once, you know why.
Because both the vibration and soap is mild - you can safely use the Wave every day, anytime you wash your face. You don't have to be concerned with using it too often or it being too rough on you. I use it daily without any issues at all.
Travelers : This item is small and you can easily put it in your make-up case or travel-pack.
I got the pink colored Wave, though I have seen green and blue colors available.
My only issue with the whole package is that the pre-soaped pads do not come in a re-sealable pouch.
All and all, though - This items is great and I highly recommend it.
This item includes : Wave Cleanser device, 14 pre-soaped pads and a AA battery.
Refill pads, in sets of 30, are required after you use the initially supplied 14.

(More customer reviews)Everyone is different. This works great for me especially for face exfoliation. Of course this isn't the only acne product I use - like all good regimens, I use more than one product (mostly all Neutrogena though). Because I use more than one product, I can't say exactly which one has totally cleared my face for the past 6-8 months or so, or if it's a joint endeavor between the products that I use, but I was using this one before I added all the other ones onto the process.
I used to be Ms. Acne-Oily-Flaky-Face until I started to use this; my acne began clearing up and the flakes were gone. Because of my super-oily skin, my dermatologist recommended using products that are drying to the skin. I began to also use an honest-to-goodness face wash (even though my derm rec'd Dial because it is drying), the Neutrogena Wave (for extra exfoliation, I use the Wave on my face before I rinse the blackhead scrub off) and the Noxema cleansing pads, and oil-free Neutrogena moisturizers. I've been a very happy woman since I've started this process! Good luck to anyone else - having an acne-riffic face can be terrible on the self-esteem!

I loved it, but didn't want to spend the price at Ulta, so I looked on amazon and found it cheaper. The 3 steps are easy and the product is mild. I usually keep it on a little longer than 5 mins. While it doesn't seem to fade my sun spots, it really has helped with wrinkles and also blemishes. My skin has been clearer from using it, which was an added bonus. I also have my 66 year-old Mom using it too. She likes it too and has very sensitive skin.

You can use it several times a week, and it is good for 30 uses. it comes with a brush and small dish for the peel, the peel solution and pads to neutralize the acid when you are done. They recommend you only leave the peel on for 5 minutes, so it is a fairly quick routine. You just brush it on, wait a few minutes, then wipe with the included pads. Then you rinse your face to remove any traces of product. I am happy with this product, it tingles, but does not sting or burn. When I am done, I feel immediately that my skin is soft and has a glow. I am using it mostly for discoloration and fine wrinkles. I haven't seen any visible peeling, but my skin has gotten a more even tone. I am definitely going to purchase this again and I recommend it for anyone who wants to try a peel at home.

As you apply it, your face begins to tingle a little bit, like this stuff is really doing something. Then as it dries, your skin gets tight; I did my face and my neck. Rinse it off really well with some warm water, pat your face dry and touch it. I guarantee your skin will feel like it never has before, or at least since you were a kid. It also very quickly cleared up a couple of minor blemishes I had on my cheeks. My skin is flawless now.

(More customer reviews)I love this cream! I especially love to use it after using Pond's cold cream to remove my makeup. This cream goes on smoothly and is absorbed by the skin fairly quickly. A little goes a long way and all you do is apply a small amount all over your face (but avoid the eye area as AHA products are not meant for the skin around the eye area). An effective AHA product, it contains 8% glycolic acid, an ingredient that at this concentration is a very effective exfoliant. It is effective at exfoliating the skin to reveal softer, more clear skin, especially for those with dry, patchy skin or skin with sun-damage. It's also very effective for those with blemished skin and helps eliminate breakouts. I have combination skin (normal/oily/dry in patches) and my skin feels soft, soothed and very smooth and even in skin tone the following morning after use. It has a slight fragrance which is barely perceptible. This product can be a bit difficult to find but totally worth it. Highly recommend to anyone looking for smoother skin!

(More customer reviews)I was very excited about this product because I really wanted a beauty day lotion with an spf of 30. This fit the bill, however, I was disappointed. First of all, the packaging is a little too much. A nice tube would have fit better in my beauty bag. Secondly, I agree with what others have said about a white tinge the lotion leaves on your skin. It's not terribly noticeable, but I can see what people are saying about this. It doesn't leave the skin with a great look to it. Third, I was using an Aveeno product on my face which also had an SPF 30 to it. I wore both products on separate trips to the beach this summer and on the Olay day I ended up with a little bit of a burn (both trips were similar in all other aspects). I noticed this on other days too; the SPF didn't seem to be as great as the Aveeno product. Lastly, I noticed NO change in the overall look/feel of my skin in the 2 months I've used the product. Not thrilled with this product. It certainly is not worth the price! The good thing is the Olay guarantees this product. They will refund your money, which I am going to do.

I had problems with acne on my arms for years, ever since I was 16 years old. So over the years I developed acne scares. I never felt comfortable wearing short shelves above my elbow. Now I just brought this a day away and I used it in the morning and at night and already see a differences.
I'm hoping my skin will improve within a month so I could show off my sexy new arms. However, I do see myself using this everyday!
However, I don't use anything else with this product, so it really does hurt. But I'll take the pain any day to get rid of my acne scars.

Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask, 4.2 Ounce (Pack of 3) Review

(More customer reviews)Proactiv is wildly overpriced, but people swear by it - but they're only really swearing by benzoyl peroxide. I have a regimen that's actually better, since it provides sun protection when you go outside. Just google - any sort of acne ingredient makes your skin sensitive to the sun, and if you DON'T use an spf every day, you're at greater risk for skin cancer!
Clear Pore is 3.5% benzoyl peroxide in a creamy, calming cleanser. It's the absolute best and cheapest cleanser for the money. It's not the greatest mask, though, since it doesn't have the right ingredients for a mask. Use Clear Pore combined with a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide gel or cream at night - acne dot org works, or Proactiv's lotion only (which you can buy on Amazon, much cheaper than the Proactiv website). Solvere Acne clearing gel is also 2.5% benzoyl peroxide.
Use a sulphur/clay mask once a week (after you've steamed your face in the shower or with a hot washcloth held over your face) to really clear things out - either Queen Helene or Proactiv's mask (also on Amazon, much cheaper than on their website).
Be SURE to use a moisturizer in the morning after washing your face (such as Clean & Clear spf 15, Aveeno Positively Radiant spf 15 or 30, or Neutrogena Healthy Defense SPF 45). Use spf 30 if it's the summer time, and use spf 45 if you live in a very sunny area. These moisturizers are perfect because don't have titanium dioxide or zinc oxide - two physical sunscreen blockers that cash a white sheen over your face. Beware of Neutrogena Healthy Defense spf 30 - it has titanium dioxide.
Always be sure your face has dried for 10 minutes after you've patted it dry before you put on your moisturizer, day or night! If your skin is dry or flaky at all, try Purpose Wash at night. It's clinically shown as gentle as water, but still cleans your face.
This regimen works for anyone with mild to moderate-severe acne; it likely won't work with cystic (multiple huge painful) acne, for that you still need to go to a dermatologist. I developed this regimen after spending far too much money for years on the multi step proactiv. I had moderate acne, now I have one pimple a month with my period!

PM:
Wash: Neutrogena Clear Pore or Purpose Wash
Moisturize/Treatmentr: Proactiv lotion, acne dot org benzoyl peroxide gel, Solvere Acne Clearing gel
Weekly: Proactiv Mask (6% sulphur) or Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask
Spot Treatment on a pimple: Neutrogena Clear Pore, either of the masks, Murad spot treatment

(More customer reviews)Let me just start by saying that I would pretty much never consider spending this much on skin-care products. There is a side of me that just wants to (and certainly has) slathered on Aquafor on my face as night cream and gone to bed.
I was given three of the Kinerase Pro+Therapy products at an event and was told that this one, the Ultra Hydrating Repair Mask could be worn on a very long flight as a facial cream.
I have a lot of skin-care products and use several different kinds -- my goal hasn't been to make me look younger or suddenly change my appearance, but prevent my skin from being so dry it hurts to smile. One evening, I decided to try this and continued to do so for the next five days. And, I must say, to my utter surprise, I noticed a dramatic difference. My face seemed to smooth out and felt soft and supple.
Even writing that previous sentence makes me cringe because it sounds like an advertisement for the product, but that was my experience with it. I even went ahead and purchased a replacement jar which is stepping way out of my budget comfort zone, but it very much impressed me.
I would definitely recommend this, albeit because of its nearly prohibitive price, I will continue to use it sparingly and probably not on a daily, but more of a twice weekly basis.

The only problem, which took me a few months to locate, was that it bleaches your towels (and any cloth it comes in contact with). I think a good solution is to just use a white towel to dry your face with and to wash your hands with regular soap afterwards. But the product is great and keeps my face pretty much acne free. Overall, I'm a satisfied customer. I just wanted to write a review so others would know about the bleach issue.
