(More customer reviews)Ah, acne pads. For decades they have been the bane and savior of the troubled teen. Only times, as times tend to do, have changed. Now women in particular can have acne well into their twenties and beyond. Just as you graduated from high school, it's time to graduate to something better than the drugstore acne cleansing pads.
Mychelle's new Clear Skin Pads are effective, unusual, and well-priced (especially for this sometimes-expensive line). In addition to old friends witch hazel and tea-tree, we also have neem (in my opinion a better bacteria fighter than tea tree, and anti-fungal to boot) and olive leaf (broad spectrum anti-viral and anti-bacterial). There's also a bit of lavender and totarol, a plant from New Zealand with properties similar to tea tree. My one objection is the grapefruit oil; citrus fruits make the skin photosensitive, but then honestly so does almost all acne-fighter products. Don't use these before going to the beach to tan, is my advice.
I tested these on myself, a ten-year old boy, and a baby-boomed woman. They worked to some degree in all three of us, and the ten-year old got rid of his blackheads completely. Like many males, he wouldn't use the whole four part Clear Skin System from Mychelle, which of course they recommend. One product is all he would do, but it worked just fine on its own. The older test subjects at Codemaster Headquarters got better results with the whole system.
In closing, a good new product from a solid line. Certainly a great alternative to drying, chemical filled drugstore or infomercial products. Happy skin-clearing!
