It is an astringent that not only does what it should but without the distasteful odor of a product like Witch Hazel. I have used this product more than 25 years. It was a godsend in our daycare business over 20 years ago.
First, it really cleans wounds. Deep cleans. Better than alcohol. Works on healing canker sores and other injuries in the mouth. Ever bit your tongue accidentially? Canker sores and these injuries will heal swiftly; even over night. Got a cavity but you're avoiding seeing the dentist? Cleans out and settles down cavities and soothes sore gums. No lie. Just don't swallow it; gargle and spit it out. Very strong but once expelled, your mouth will quickly recover and in moments will feel squeaky clean and the pain will disappear.
Second, it is helpful on both OILY and DRY skin. Gives a cool and refreshing feeling. Consumer Reports said it was the BEST over-the-counter product on the market to address dry skin. Whether you have rough elbows or even dandruff, try Sea Breeze. For dandruff, just splash on generously and rub it gently throughout your hair. Let dry and shampoo as normal. Rub it on your skin blemishes to clean and to heal. Mosquito and other insect bites, acne, small cuts and scrapes. Slight sting but man up; it's working and will get your body to work to heal the wound quickly. But, hang on; it works on oily skin too by cleaning off the oil and deep-cleaning the pores. Wear a chin strap? The abrasion will injury the skin but if you rub it on the skin generously under where the chin strap is and if you will wipe off the chin strap, that problem will disappear.
This is an marvelous product which should be in every medicine cabinet and used for any skin problems from chaffing to cuts to minor rashes etc. Do something good for your skin. Non-greasy; pleasant; effective. It's $4.99 for the 10 oz bottle in most stores but this $2.99 price is great. Look for the "60% more FREE Sea Breeze Actives" the company is putting in the major chains ... 16oz for price of 10oz. What a deal.
